Lynette Maxwell, AMM - Event Manager

Lynette Maxwell has over 30 years experience in organising events for 50 – 50,000 people.  This has included corporate seminars, events, special events, award presentations, gala balls, golf days, conferences and outdoor concerts to list just a few.

Lynette Maxwell is an Accredited Meetings Manager (AMM) through Meetings and Events Australia (MEA), having every 3 years demonstrated that she has met a professional standard in organising events and maintained ongoing professional development to keep abreast of industry trends. She has also taught event management at TAFE, served on the MEA NSW Executive, is a presenter of the MEA Professional Development Programs, has won State and National Awards and holds a Graduate Certificate in Event Management through the University of Sydney.

Carla Mathisen – Event Producer

After completing a Bachelor of Business Management, majoring in Events and Hospitality at The University of Queensland in November 2007, Carla began work as the Event Coordinator for Riversymposium and has been recently promoted to Event Producer.

Since her commencement in January 2008, Carla has gained experience in conference and awards management. Within conference management, her responsibilities include programming, speakers’ management and coordination, sponsored delegates, marketing collateral, audio visual and awards presentations.  In her second and third years, Carla managed successful awards events from conception to completion and will be managing Riversymposium in 2011.

Carla has a keen eye for design and an attention to detail that helps assist her with a secret talent for proofreading. She is currently completing post graduate study in public relations.

Jessica Stonier – Event Registrar & Coordinator

Jessica Stonier brings to the International WaterForum team the very latest in qualifications and experience in event management, marketing and tourism.

Jessica has a double diploma in Event Management and Marketing and is certified in Tourism (International Retail Travel Sales). Her employment history is rich with experience in organising events, including work as Functions Maitre 'D at a well-regarded function centre and volunteering for two years as a social coordinator for a non-profit organisation.

Since Jessica's commencement as Event Registrar & Coordinator in May 2010, she has taken on her responsibilities including delegate services (registration & accommodation), coordinating exhibitions and managing the Future Water Leaders Award with enthusiasm and passion.

Phoebe White - Events & Admin Assistant

Phoebe White joined the International WaterForum (IWF) in February of 2011 after completing her Diploma of Events. Her role as Events & Admin Assistant will involve various tasks in relation to all IWF events and specifically coordinating speakers and sponsored delegates for Riversymposium. Phoebe will also be assisting with IWF's new initiative, the Water Leaders of Tomorrow Seminar.

Phoebe brings to the role a passion for events shown through her volunteering with MS Society events, along with skills developed whilst helping to coordinate the World Skills Australia Closing Ceremony.
